Sterilization Procedures Our studio uses the most modern and safest sterilization procedures.You can rest assured with every tattoo and every piercing done at Superior Skin Art will be used with a BRAND NEW SINGLE SERVICE NEEDLE for each process per customer! We never under any circumstance re-use needles on anyone. Every tattoo needle, tube, piercing needle, or forceps is opened from sterilization pouch in front of each and every customer before the tattoo/piercing process.
After each procedure the needle is then disposed of in a "OSHA APPROVED" sharps container " biohazardous material receptacle " The needles are not disposed of in the regular trash facilities. Superior Skin Art has a Autoclave Testing Laboratory monitor our Autoclave about once a month using spore test strips to ensure yours and our safety. When preparing our instruments to be autoclaved , there are several steps in this procedure. First we inspect each and every instrument closely for imperfections prior to packaging them to be cycled through the autoclave. When the instruments have been placed in the pouches we then seal the pouch and place them in our autoclave.Each cycle through the autoclave requires the autoclave to have 20 lbs. of pressure at 270º F. for 30 minutes. This eliminates any and all chances for any microbiums , hepatitis ,aids or any other virus to survive and infect anyone. This applies for all tattooing and body piercing.
